Research Center: Swing Stages Surround

September 15, 2007

Just as Superior Waterproofing and Restoration won its bid to apply a water vapor barrier to St. Louis University’s new Doisy Research Center, project officials realized they would have to be creative in gaining access to the 10-story, $67 million building.

The company planned to simply handle the access with two if its Sky-Climber swing stages, said project manager Joe McGann. But when he sat down with the general contractor, McGann learned he would have to coordinate his team with the project’s iron workers, carpenters and sheet metal workers.
